Each teacher has been teaching yoga and meditation for over a decade. Their backgrounds are complimentary and will provide a harmonizing yoga and cultural experience for your Spring Renewal Retreat.

What to Expect:

Day 1: Arrive
We will meet at the Bogota Domestic Airport and board a small plane to Pitalito, Colombia. From there, we will take arranged transportation to Akawanka Lodge near San Augustin (about 1 hour drive).
Upon Arrival at Akawanka, we will have lunch (the biggest meal of the day), after lunch we will have a welcome circle and time to unwind.

Day 2: Dive in
Wake up with Yoga, followed by breakfast.
We will visit the UNESCO heritage site, Parque Arequelogico Nacional San Agustin, which is just up the road.
The park is an all day, outdoor adventure. Expect to walk most of the day, while learning about the pre-Colombian civilizations.
After the park we will enjoy a dinner together at Akawanka.

Day 3: Dig Deeper
Wake up with Yoga, followed by breakfast - starting to develop a routine.
Today includes other cultural sites by car, so you’ll see more of the geography and keep learning. More walking too!
After the park we will enjoy Yoga Nidra and dinner at Akawanka.

Day 4: Kick Back
Yoga + breakfast, you know the deal.
Today is a free day!
That means you can relax at Akawanka, head to town, or choose your own adventure.
An optional lunch will be provided at Akawanka.
We will all regroup for Yoga Nidra and a light dinner at the lodge.

Day 5: Rio Magdalena
Yoga + Breakfast.
Once again we will head out by car encountering beautiful vistas. This time to the Estrecho del Rio Magdalena, the most narrow point of Colombia’s most important (and beautiful river). You can walk near the river bed.
